Our Philosophy

The club's intent is to create well-balanced martial artists focusing on the development of a person's mind, body and spirit emphasizing traditional principles and techniques. Traditional karate becomes a medium helping the student gain understanding while excelling physically and mentally through training and conditioning.

Training

At OKC San Francisco the training consists of: basic drills, physical conditioning, two person and self-defense techniques, kata and its application. Traditional Kobudo or weapons are taught at the brown and black belt levels. These weapons are the bo, sai, kama (sickle), tonfa, nunchaku and eiku (oar).

Classes for children ages 5-7, 5:00-5:30

youth ages 8-12, 5:30-6:30

teen/adults 13-adult, 6:30-7:30

In Davis

We are teaching at the UC Davis Athletics and Recreation Center (ARC) on Friday evenings.
Classes to the public (ARC membership is required). You do not have to be a student with UC Davis to join ARC and attend classes. 
Registration April 1-9, classes starting on April 6th. Please visit the Martial Arts Studio site for registration and more information.
